China Southern Airlines seeks buyers for several 787-8s and two spare GE engines

China Southern Airlines (CSA) issued a tender on November 19 inviting “qualified purchasers” to purchase 10 787-8s and two GEnx-1B70/P2 engines. Read More » Last month, Mainland media reported CSA is simplifying its fleet mix. The carrier said it will not accept proposals for only some of the 787-8s and spare engines. The airline added the Request for Proposal (RFP) and any potential proposals will be a preliminary negotiation of intention between the parties and will not constitute the final documents.
