EVA Airways upbeat about future business travel demand

Read More » At an investor presentation this week, the Taiwan-based carrier said it is focused on stable growth, including to the U.S., with its long-term network expansion to be aligned with fleet deliveries. The Star Alliance member flagged boosting frequencies and adding destinations on high demand regional routes to match seasonal trends and major events as well as pursuing codeshare partnerships with non-alliance airlines. Following a slow start, the surge in post-pandemic passenger demand in the Asia-Pacific remains robust, far exceeding the global average, EVA said. “Ticket fares in 2024 are up significantly from 2019, driven by strong post-COVID demand, inflation and supply chain constraints,” it said. EVA president, Clay Sun, told conference attendees the airline is planning nonstop Taipei Taiyuan-Dallas/Fort Worth from November next year.
