IndiGo and Japan Airlines to code-share from next month

Read More » JAL will add its JL airline code on 30 IndiGo-operated domestic routes from Benguluru and Delhi and IndiGo will place its 6E airline code on JAL-operated flights from Tokyo Haneda and Narita to Bangkok Suvarnabhumi and Singapore and Osaka Kansai to Suvarnabhumi. “India has recorded remarkable economic growth in recent years leading to a significant increase in air travel demand between Japan and India,” JAL managing executive officer and senior vice president route marketing, Ross Leggett, said. “Both carriers are excited about this partnership and aim to contribute to the market by providing customers with more convenient and seamless travel options, IndiGo senior vice president for network planning and revenue management, Abhijit Das Gupta, said: “This code-share agreement will strengthen business, trade and tourism travel between India and Japan.”
