Thai AirAsia X targets India transit traffic with resumed Sydney route

TAAX CEO, Tassapon Bijleveld, said the LCC's Sydney route is expected to attract passengers travelling between Australia and India. “The return of Thai AirAsia X to Sydney comes at a time of enhanced networks within the AirAsia Group especially with our FlyThru connections to more than 50 popular destinations,” Tassapon said. “Operating from Don Mueang greatly improves connectivity with AirAsia Group’s network, particularly to destinations in India where there is strong and growing demand for travel to Australia.” TAAX is the only airline flying Don Mueang-Sydney. Qantas Airways and Thai Airways International serve Sydney-Bangkok Suvarnabhumi.
