All Nippon Airways (ANA) is equipping its fleet and also the fleets of its two subsidiaries, AirJapan and ANA Wings, with fire resistant electronic storage bags. Developed by Kikuchi Sheet Industries and TOPPAN Corporation, storage bags will protect passengers, crew and aircraft from the risk of fires started by overheated batteries in electronic devices. “To further encourage fire safety, ANA will make the bags available for purchase by competing airlines and other commercial customers on ANA Trading from January 2025,” the airline said.
Eve Air Mobility has secured US$35 million in funding from Brazil’s National Development Bank.
In August, the Singapore government's sovereign wealth fund, GIC, acquired 5% of Brisbane Airport from a client of Igneous Infrastructure Partners, the Australian Financial Review has reported.
Qantas Group has applied to Australia's International Air Services Commission, the manager of the country's traffic rights, to operate unlimited air cargo flights between Australia and Hong Kong. The airline noted in its application that updated air services arrangements between Australia and Hong Kong have removed restrictions on frequencies for cargo services.
