Air travel technology company, SITA, and digital technologies firm, IDEMIA Public Security, are expanding their partnership to address baggage handling and airport operations challenges that will include a computer vision baggage matching solution.
BOC Aviation has agreed leases with TUI Airways for 14 737 MAX 8s. Deliveries are scheduled next year and in 2026.
CFM International has received certification from the European Union Aviation Safety Agency and U.S. Federal Aviation Administration for an updated high-pressure turbine hardware durability kit for its LEAP-1A engines that power the A320neo family of aircraft.
MMAG Holdings said Malaysia Aviation Group had extended the appointment of its MJets Air subsidiary as a regional cargo feeder to MAB Kargo for another 12 months after the parties signed a Letter of Award (LoA). “The LoA will enable the partners to continue building their collaboration by optimising cargo transportation and logistics,” MMAG Holdings said in a regulatory filing.
At its capital markets day, Safran reaffirmed expectations for 2024 revenue to be 27.1 billion euro (US$29 billion) and operating income to come in at 4.1 billion. The engine OEM added its preliminary outlook for revenue growth in 2025 was around 10% and forecast operating income would be 4.7 billion euro to 4.8 billion euro for the year.
