China Airlines to begin three-year A350-900 cabin upgrade

China Airlines (CAL) is retrofitting the cabins of its 15 strong A350-900 fleet. Read More » The first of the upgraded wide-bodies will enter service in 2027 with the full retrofit program done by 2028. Airbus will provide integration and technical services for the installation and certification of the seats in all cabin classes of the retrofitted airliners as well as design the cabin facilities. "The cabin design seamlessly integrates literary and cultural elements with CAL’s exclusive persimmon wood-grain finish and contrasting metallic textures," the airline said. Currently, CAL's A350-900s are configured with 32 business, 31 premium economy and 243 economy seats.
