Air China posts double-digit passenger growth for November

Air China transported 12.2 million passengers on its domestic, international and regional networks in November, up 17.5% from the 10.4 million air travellers the airline carried in the same month a year ago. Read More » Domestic passengers increased 12.4%, to 10.4 million and international air travellers jumped 70%, to 1.4 million. Passenger capacity, or available seat kilometres (ASK), expanded 12.9% compared with a year earlier. Capacity on international routes was 43.7% higher year-on-year, Air China said, while domestic ASKs rose at a more moderate 3.2% for the month. The Star Alliance member’s passenger load factor was up 5.9 percentage points at 79.3%. Air China’s operating fleet increased by one ARJ21-700 and one C919 to stand at 927 aircraft as at November 30.
