Batik Air resumes Malaysia-Miri after extended hiatus

Batik Air restarted nonstop Kuala Lumpur-Miri on January 14 with a 737 MAX 8, registration 9M-LRV, operating the inaugural OD1650 flight. Read More » The Lion Air Group carrier has scheduled a double daily service on the route. “Miri represents a significant step forward in our mission to connect Malaysia’s diverse cities," Batik Air CEO, Datuk Chandran Rama Muthy, said. "By providing this new direct service, Batik Air is proud to support Sarawak’s economic and tourism growth, facilitate seamless travel for locals and visitors and showcase the remarkable offerings of Miri and Sarawak to the world." Miri is Batik Air's fourth destination in Sarawak following Bintulu, Kuching and Sibu. It has served Miri in the past including when it was operating as Malindo Air.
