Tigerair Taiwan and China Airlines announce record performance payments for staff

Taiwan’s China Airlines (CAL) will pay a bonus of NT$145,000 (US$4,276) to all employees in addition to a year-end bonus equivalent to 6.6 months of salary. Read More » In a letter to staff, CAL said the components of NT$145,000 payment are NT$110,000 as a fixed bonus and NT$35,000 as an incentive award. CAL also will increase the salaries of subsidiary, Tigerair Taiwan, by an average of 3% and pay year-end bonuses to the LCC’s employees equivalent to 12.5 months of salary, the highest year-end bonuses ever offered by a Taiwan airline. In a statement, the carrier committed to a fixed monthly salary increase of NT$3,000 for all employees with an average salary raise of 4% for 2025, a record salary increase at Taiwan’s airlines. As well, the median year-end bonus for employees will be an average of 12.8 months of salary, based on performance, with some staff receiving up to 17.4 months of salary.
