Read More » The country’s deputy prime minister, Tran Hong Ha, said on January 15 he had instructed the transport ministry to review rules that prevent COMAC airplanes from operating to Vietnam after meeting with COMAC board director, Tan Wangeng. “Vietnam is a large and promising market and COMAC has been having in-depth technical discussions with Vietjet,” COMAC deputy general manager, Wei Yingbiao, said last November. As an initial step, Ha said LCC Vietjet may work with a Chinese airline now operating COMAC planes to test the aircraft on some routes, Reuters has reported.
