Air NewZealand accepts 30th ATR 72-600 into fleet

Air New Zealand (AirNZ) has commenced flying its 30th ATR 72-600 on regional routes after delivery of the turboprop from Toulouse last December 29. Read More » "Introducing our 30th ATR 72-600 into service is a milestone for Air New Zealand. The aircraft will provide vital support for our turboprop fleet helping provide maintenance flexibility and maintaining the reliability of our services for regional customers,” AirNZ general manager strategy, networks and fleet, Baden Smith, said. The aircraft, registration ZK-MZG, is powered by Pratt & Whitney PW127XT engines. It flew its first commercial flight, Christchurch-Invercargill, on January 16.
