Australia’s international passengers increased 12.2% in October

Last October, 3.557 million international airline passengers flew in and out of Australia, an increase from 3.171 million international air travellers in the same month a year ago. Read More » Australian Bureau of Infrastructure and Transport Research Economics data shows Qantas Group’s Qantas Airways and Jetstar led the market with a 29.8% share of international passengers carried in the 31 days. Singapore Airlines once again was Australia's largest foreign carrier and the second largest airline overall with a 9.3% market share, followed by Air New Zealand (6.8%) and Emirates Airline (5.6%). SIA topped the table for international freight for the month with a 15.1% market share, ahead of Qantas (9.9%) and Cathay Pacific (7.1%).
