COMAC plans significant increase in C919 production in 2025

Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China (COMAC) is to quicken the output pace of its C919s, COMAC's Deputy General Manager, Shen Bo, said at the annual “Two Sessions” plenary parliamentary meeting in Shanghai late last week. Read More » The OEM is aiming to produce 50 C919s in the current year. At present 16 C919s are flying with three Chinese carriers: China Eastern Airlines (10), Air China (3) and China Southern Airlines (3). Shen said the planned wide-body C929 is in the preliminary design and supplier selection phase with the intention to proceed to a detailed design stage soon.
