ST Engineering reports its commercial aerospace business has signed a five-year CFM LEAP MRO contract with new customer, Korean Air, to support the LEAP-1B engines that power the airline’s 737 MAXs. ST Engineering will provide quick-turn services including high pressure turbines (HPT) and Performance Restoration Shop Visit (PRSV) services for the engines.
HAECO has signed a new agreement with PAL Express (PALEX) to provide base maintenance services for the airline’s A320s and A321s, including D-checks, at HAECO’s Xiamen Gaoqi International Airport facility.
GE Aerospace said its profit from commercial engines and services in final quarter 2024 increased 44% to $2.16 billion on revenue of $7.65 billion. The company forecasts double-digit revenue and EPS growth with greater than 100% free cash flow conversion in 2025.
Rolls-Royce has completed certification testing of a major upgrade to the Trent 1000 to address durability problems and is looking to secure delayed certification of the “Durability Enhancement”, Aviation Week reports.
