Korean Air joins A350-900 club

Korean Air (KAL) commenced operations of its A350-900 fleet today. Read More » The SkyTeam alliance member's first two routes operating the wide-body type are Seoul Incheon-Osaka Kansai and Incheon-Fukuoka. KAL has ordered six A350-900s and 27 A350-1000s with KAL A350-900 registrations HL8597 and HL8598 joining the fleet in late 2024. "The addition of the A350-900 to Korean Air's fleet addresses growing passenger demand and will strengthen the carrier's fleet capacity as it continues its integration with Asiana Airlines," KAL said. "After initial deployment on short-haul routes to Japan, the A350-900 will begin servicing Taipei in March and long-haul destinations, including Madrid and Rome, in the second half of the year."
