"The company still anticipates first delivery of the 777-9 in 2026," Boeing said in the regulatory filing. The much delayed 777-9X program resumed flight tests earlier this month, following a four-month pause from last August after post-flight inspections found a major component in the engine mount had failed. When the project was launched in 2013, Boeing planned for the 777-9X to enter service in 2020.
