Air Busan tightens rules on portable power bank batteries after cabin fire

Carryon luggage will be inspected at the LCC’s boarding gates with bags approved for overhead locker storage tagged. Power banks must be kept with passengers during flights. The new rules follow a fire last month in an overhead locker of an Air Busan A321 as it prepared to depart Busan for Hong Kong. There were no injuries. The aircraft, registration HL7763, was destroyed.
