JAL Group maintains earnings guidance; records 6% profit lift for fiscal nine months

JAL Group has reported a net profit of 91 billion yen (US$586 million) for the nine months to December 31, 2024, from 85.8 billion yen in the same months in 2023. Read More » Revenue increased 10.9%, to 1.4 trillion yen, the parent company of operating airlines Japan Airlines, Spring Japan and ZIPAIR said in a regulatory filing. Forecasts for the full year, which ends on March 31, are unchanged with net profit expected to be 100 billion yen, a 4.7% improvement from a 95.5 billion yen net profit in the previous year. Its reforms were "progressing steadily" and the company was "on track" to achieve its fiscal year performance forecast, a JAL group statement said.
