Batik Air Malaysia will commence flying Kuala Lumpur-Xiamen on April 11 with a four times weekly rotation operated by 737s. Read More » It will be the third airline flying Kuala Lumpur-Xiamen alongside Malaysia Airlines and Xiamen Air. “In line with China’s robust economic growth, we are excited to introduce this route, offering more opportunities for Malaysians and Chinese travellers alike to explore new business avenues and cultural experiences, strengthening bilateral ties in ways that go beyond just air travel,” Batik Air Malaysia CEO, Datuk Chandran Rama Muthy, said. The airline, a Lion Air Group carrier, flies Kuala Lumpur to Chengdu, Guangzhou, Haikou, Kunming, Zhangjiajie and Zhengzhou in China. Nonstop Kuala Lumpur to Beijing Daxing and Changsha will start next month followed by Xiamen in April.
