AirAsia Aviation Group wraps up 2024 “with a strong performance”

Read More » The group recorded a passenger load factor of 89%, 1 ppt higher than in its 2023 year. Capacity was up 13% and demand was higher by 14% year-on-year. At full-year to December 31, the LCC group’s active fleet stood at 205 aircraft after 14 aircraft returned to flight operations. Nine new A321neo were accepted into the group’s fleet as well as one used aircraft. Two narrow-bodies were returned to lessors during the year. In final quarter 2024, the group flew 16 million passengers, a 9% year-on-year increase, and averaged a load factor of 88% as demand caught up with a 10% year-on-year capacity expansion.
