Malaysia Airlines bolsters narrowbody fleet with two more 737 MAX 8s

Malaysia Airlines has taken delivery of two more 737 MAX 8s, lifting the total number of the type in its fleet to 11 aircraft. Read More » The two 737s were received at the Malaysia Airlines Kuala Lumpur hub over the weekend - registration 9M-MVH touched down on Saturday afternoon following its ferry flight from Boeing Field in Seattle via Honolulu and Guam, while registration 9M-MVK arrived yesterday having taken an identical routing. “With each new addition, we’re enhancing connectivity, and redefining the travel experience - all while staying true to the essence of Malaysian Hospitality,” Malaysia Airlines said.
In other Malaysia Airlines news, the oneworld alliance member has boosted the number of services flown by its new A330-900 fleet. The aircraft has been scheduled to fly daily on the Kuala Lumpur-Melbourne route from March 18, four times a week on Kuala Lumpur-Auckland from March 13 and three times a week between Kuala Lumpur and Bali from March 16.
