Thai AirAsia parent posts US$103 million full-year profit

Asia Aviation Public Company (AAPC), parent of Thai AirAsia, has reported a net profit of 3.5 billion baht (US$103 million) for calendar 2024, more than seven times the 465.8 million baht net profit it booked in 2023. Read More » Revenue increased 18.3%, to 50.8 billion baht, AAPC said in a regulatory filing. The company added it had booked a core operating profit of 3 billion baht in 2024. “The company’s relentless focus on operational efficiency across all dimensions led to its first positive core operating profit since the pandemic strengthening its financial position and enabling greater support for employees and stakeholders,” AAPC CEO, Santisuk Klongchaiya, said. AAPC is focused on “accelerating growth despite ongoing challenges”, it said. The LCC forecast mid-teens percentage revenue growth this year supported by the entry into service of six more aircraft this year operations taking its fleet to 66 airplanes by the close of 2025.
