ANA HOLDINGS orders more 787s, 737 MAX 8s and A321neos; adding Embraer E190-E2s to fleet

Read More » The commitments are for 18 787-9s powered by GEnx engines for ANA’s international network as well as 15 E190-E2s (with options for five more), 14 A321neos and eight 737 MAX 8s (with options for another four of the type) for its domestic fleet. ANA will be the first operator of the E190-E2 in Japan when deliveries commence in 2028. The parent company also has ordered 10 A321neos and three A321XLRs for its LCC Peach. The Airbus and Boeing narrow-bodies will have CFM International LEAP engines and the Embraer jets will be powered Pratt & Whitney GTF engines. In addition to its latest order, ANA HOLDINGS Inc. has exercised options for five 787-9s and 10 737 MAX 8s. “This order will be the catalyst for improving the profitability of domestic flights and the expansion of international flights which is an area of growth of our airline business,” ANA HOLDINGS Inc. CEO, Koji Shibata, said. “We will fully utilize this opportunity to become an industry leading airline with sustainable growth.”
