IndiGo announces long-haul routes to Netherlands and Britain

IndiGo has chosen Amsterdam and Manchester as its inaugural long-haul destinations. Read More » Flights to the two cities are planned to commence in July with three times a week frequencies operated by 787-9s damp leased from Norse Atlantic Airways. “India has strong ties with the United Kingdom and the Netherlands for business and tourism and there is a large Indian diaspora living in these countries,” IndiGo CEO, Pieter Elbers, said. “These new long-haul routes are inching us closer to realizing our shared vision of building India into a global aviation hub.” Air India and KLM Royal Dutch Airlines serve Delhi from Amsterdam. KLM also flies Amsterdam-Mumbai. To date, there are no nonstop Manchester-India flights.
