Asiana Airlines establishes taskforce to support proposed merger with Korean Air

Asiana Airlines has set up a taskforce dedicated to winning approval from regulators worldwide for its intended acquisition by Korean Airlines. Read More » Asiana CEO, Won Yoo-seok, is leading the team of 42, which includes executives from the airline’s cargo, finance, external cooperation, legal affairs, passengers and strategic planning units. The taskforce is focused on submissions to several competition regulators now examining the proposed transaction. A major part of its work will be responding to requests for more information about the tie-up, the Star Alliance member said.
