China Airlines leases three A321neos to compensate for expected delivery delays

Read More » In a regulatory filing, the SkyTeam alliance member said the aircraft were acquired to mitigate “aviation supply chain-related new fleet delays while sustaining capacity and enhancing regional route competitiveness”. The leases will run for 144 months (12 years) at a transaction cost of US$170 million, the airline said. CAL reported a net profit of T$14.4 billion (US$437 million) for the 12 months to December 31, more than double its T$6.6 billion net profit in full-year 2023. Revenue increased by 10.3%, to T$203.9 billion, CAL said.
