Thai AirAsia will increase flights on five domestic routes during Thailand’s mid-April Songkran holiday. Read More » The LCC also is offering discounts of up to 30% for travel between April 11 and April 17. “Songkran is one of the busiest travel periods of the year. We are working closely with the Ministry of Transport, the Civil Aviation Authority of Thailand and other relevant agencies to ensure sufficient flights and fair pricing for our passengers,” Thai AirAsia CEO, Santisuk Klongchaiya, said. “We anticipate domestic flight occupancy across all routes will reach 90% to 95% during Songkran, serving Thai travelers and international visitors exploring Thailand’s many vibrant regions.” The five routes earmarked for more flights are Bangkok Don Mueang to Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai, Nakhon Phanom, Udon Thani and Ubon Ratchathani.
