Air New Zealand artist, Te Rangitu Netana, is collaborating with the designer of the airline’s new uniforms, Emilia Wickstead. Te Rangitu will work on the print concept that will be a key motif in the design of the uniforms.

Capital A has requested an extension from Bursa Malaysia, to April 15, to submit its circular to shareholders on the proposed Practice Note 17 regularization plan.

Taiwan-headquartered China Airlines and Chunghwa Telecom Laboratories have finalized a Memorandum of Understanding to expand the use of artificial intelligence technology in applications across the airline industry.

China Development Bank Financial Leasing Co, parent of lessor CDB Aviation, booked a net profit of 4.5 billion yuan (US$620 million) for 2024, up 8.5% from 4.2 billion yuan in 2023. Revenue was better by 10.6% at 25.4 billion yuan, the company said. “In 2025, with an international leasing business platform, a professional team, good relationships with manufacturers and a global and well-diversified customer network, the group will continue to seize opportunities as the industry progresses its growth to build a fleet comprising next-generation, mainstream narrow-body aircraft and increase the group’s competitiveness in the industry,” it said.

LCC IndiGo said its BluChip frequent flyer program has reached two million members six months after it was launched.

Air traffic management company, Indra, said its instrument landing systems are now operational on all four runways at Seoul Incheon Airport. Indra was awarded the contract for the project in 2023.

Mitsubishi Heavy Industries’ Crystal Mover Services business has received a five-year contract extension to operate and maintain the automated sky train at Atlanta Hartsfield-Jackson Airport.

Recaro Aircraft Seating has reported revenue of 588 million euro (US$640 million) for 2024, up 12.2% from 524 million euro in 2023. The company is expecting a “similar growth trajectory in the coming years”, Recaro said.

SATS and Weihai Guangtai Airport Equipment Co are to “explore and trial advanced technologies to drive improvements in airport ground support services”, such as a trial of a mid-size electric airtug.
