Fiji Airways, formerly a oneworld connect partner, moved up to oneworld alliance membership today (April 1). Read More » The airline officially adopted the American Airlines (AA) AAdvantage frequent flyer program at the same time. AA is a founding oneworld member. “We are delighted to join the American Airlines AAdvantage program, marking a new chapter for Fiji Airways and offering more opportunities for our loyal customers to experience the magic of Fiji,” Fiji Airways CEO, Andre Viljoen, said. “With our new membership in the oneworld alliance, we look forward to offering greater connectivity to destinations around the globe, including the U.S., and welcoming more visitors to experience the warmth, culture and beauty of Fiji.” American Airlines senior vice president of alliances, Anmol Bhargava, said: “The partnership between American and Fiji Airways is giving customers more ways to unlock new travel experiences.”
