Lao Airlines joins COMAC C909 club

Lao Airlines has taken delivery of its first Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China (COMAC) C909 regional jet. Read More » The aircraft, registration RDPL-34229, landed in Vientiane on March 31 following its flight from Shanghai Pudong. Lao Airlines has configured the C909, formerly known as the ARJ21-700, with 90 seats in a single class layout. “We have partnered with COMAC through a lease to bring you this incredible aircraft,” Lao Airlines said in a social media post. “The C909’s maiden flight is scheduled for April 12. Stay tuned for route and schedule details.” When flights commence, Lao Airlines will be the second operator of the C909 in Southeast Asia after Indonesia-headquartered TransNusa Airlines.
