A 737 MAX 8 built for Xiamen Airlines flew back to Boeing’s Seattle facility from southern China on the weekend as the country’s government responds to U.S. president, Donald Trump’s imposition of minimum tariffs of 145% on all goods imported to the U.S. from the Mainland. Read More » The single aisle aircraft flew out of Boeing’s Zhoushan facility and arrived at Boeing Field in Seattle on Sunday U.S. time via refuelling stops in Guam and Hawaii, local media reports. In response to the U.S.’s 145% tariff on its exports to the U.S., China has imposed a 125% tariff on all imported U.S. goods and instructed the country’s airlines to pause acceptance of Boeing aircraft they have ordered. China’s Big Three airlines - Air China, China Eastern Airlines and China Southern Airlines - and their subsidiaries have commitments for more than 100 Boeing airliners.
