Read More » EVA said the destination will be its ninth gateway to North America after Chicago, Houston, Los Angeles, New York, San Francisco, Seattle, Toronto and Vancouver. The Taiwan carrier will be the only airline in Asia serving two destinations to Texas. “EVA Air has been operating cargo flights to and from Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport since 1998. We are seeing strong passenger demand for this route because of the influx in recent years of numerous companies [into the state] and strong economic and population growth. Dallas has become an economic and commercial centre in Texas,” EVA Air president Clay Sun said. The Dallas flights will arrive in the early morning in Taipei to allow passengers to transfer to the airline’s Asia flights, the airline said.
