Capital A shareholders approve PN17 exit plan capital reduction

Read More » The Proposed Regularisation Plan of a capital reduction of up to RM6 billion (US$1.4 billion) was passed unanimously, Capital A said. “This is a pivotal day for Capital A. With shareholder and RCUIDS holders support for a capital reduction, we are taking bold steps to complete our turnaround and move beyond PN17, Capital A CEO, Tony Fernandes, said. The company intends to conclude the disposal of its airlines and develop its non-aviation businesses, he said. Following the EGM approval, Capital A is seeking High Court confirmation of the capital reduction when the entitlement date of the Proposed Disposal is announced. It is on track to exit PN17 status by mid-2025, it said.
