Hong Kong International Airport’s (HKIA) expanded Terminal 2 (T2) will begin operations on September 23 with the opening of its coach hall; a designated area for the pick up and set down of buses, coaches and limousines. Read More » The indoor hall will ease traffic congestion at Terminal 1 during peak times, Airport Authority Hong Kong (AAHK) said. In the next phase, T2 will open passenger check in counters and bag drop kiosks in June 2026. “The expanded T2 will provide fully-fledged passenger services for arrivals and departures,” AAHK said. “Since the commencement of 3RS [Three Runway System] operations in November last year AAHK has been gearing up with business partners to commission new passenger facilities in response to demand.”
