Air New Zealand adds A320s to Christchurch-Hamilton schedule

Air New Zealand (Air NZ) has announced it will fly five times a week Hamilton-Christchurch with 171-seat A320s. Read More » From September 18, the single aisle will operate on the route alongside the airline’s existing ATR 72-600 turboprop flights. The Star Alliance member last flew jets on domestic services to Hamilton 25 years ago. “Hamilton–Christchurch is one of our strongest and fastest growing regional routes. The addition of jet services reflects that increasing demand,” Air NZ CEO, Greg Foran, said. “The A320s will provide more seats at key travel times, particularly for business and leisure travellers and those with onward connections, while our ATR aircraft remain a vital part of the schedule, giving customers more flexibility across the day.”
