Semiconductor giant joined China Airlines corporate SAF program

Read More » According to the statement, this is the first time in Taiwan that an airline has combined corporate travel with the use of Taiwan’s own sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) and a carbon offset mechanism, and work together to move towards the 2050 net zero carbon emissions goal. The new collaboration is part of CAL’s “SAF Partner Cooperation Program”, in which it invites upstream and downstream manufacturers and customers to participate in promoting energy transformation and low-carbon transportation development in Taiwan’s aviation industry and implementing sustainable supply chain goals. TSMC is a global semiconductor industry giant, and as it expands globally, the demand for employee business travel is strong. It is estimated that through the newly announced business flight carbon reduction cooperation, the annual business travel can reduce more than 1,000 tons of carbon emissions, laying a solid foundation for the net-zero carbon emission goal.
