India’s regulator announces Air India’s 787 fleet had no ‘major safety concerns’

Read More » The regulator ordered the inspections following the June 12 fatal crash of an Air India 787 soon after take-off from Ahmedabad. “The aircraft and associated maintenance systems were found to be compliant with existing safety standards,” the DGCA said in a statement. It added 24 of Air India’s 33 787s had completed an “enhanced safety inspection”. The regulator advised Air India to “strictly adhere to regulations”, strengthen coordination across its businesses and ensure availability of adequate spares to mitigate passenger delays.
