Bangkok Airways net profit declines 19.7%

Bangkok Airways recorded a net profit of 2.1 billion baht (US$64 million) for the six months to June 30, down from a net profit of 2.6 billion baht in the same six months a year ago. Read More » Revenue dipped 0.7%, to 12.5 billion baht, Bangkok Airways said. The decline was impacted by falling passenger numbers, at 2.2 million in the first half of the year, a 2.6% fall off compared with a year ago. "The decline, in part, was attributed to a decrease in point-of-sales from Asia, but passengers from Europe continued to increase," Bangkok Airways said.
