China Airlines rolls out new status points program

China Airlines (CAL) will replace its Dynasty Flyer program with a Status Points Membership System at year-end. Read More » The Dynasty Flyer rewards program was established in 1989. The next generation system will be based on status points. For the first time miles from promotional and group fares will be included in the rewards program. Members will be able to use miles to redeem complimentary fares and cabin upgrades and everyday products and services from more than 130 chain brands around Taiwan, the SkyTeam alliance member said. All existing membership privileges will be retained in the program until 2027 CAL said, and added members will be eligible for upgrades and not be at risk of downgrades. CAL has set up an “Actual Mileage and Status Point Calculator” and the AI “Miles Assistant” service on its website.
