Vietnam Airlines bans lithium batteries on board

Vietnam Airlines is rolling out measures to control the transport of lithium back up batteries on its flights, aiming to minimize risks and uphold aviation safety standards. Read More » The new rule will apply to all Vietnam Airlines, Pacific Airlines and Vasco flights. It is forbidden to carry lithium batteries in check-in baggage and passengers carrying batteries in hand luggage must declare them at check-in and position them for easy inspection and detection of irregularities. The airline has enhanced baggage screening at Noi Bai and Tan Son Nhat international airports and has equipped its fleet with heat-resistant gloves and fire and smoke-proof containment bags.
