Thales and IndiGo have signed a strategic maintenance contract for the airline’s fleet of 430 A320s and its future order of more than 800 Airbus single aisles. Thales will provide IndiGo with repair services for avionics components, coupled with Thales’s ‘Avionics-By-The-Hour’ (ABTH) programme in a contract to run for 11 years.
AFI KLM E&M has signed a comprehensive component support agreement with Parata Air, South Korea’s newest airline and operator of an all-Airbus fleet. Parata Air will launch operations with six A330ceo and be supported by a six-year Power By the Hour (PBH) components contract with AFI KLM E&M.
Separately, AFI KLM E&M and Vietjet Thailand have signed a comprehensive long-term Power-by-the-Hour (PBH) components support agreement, to cover 50 737-8s. The contract includes full component repair, access to AFI KLM E&M’s worldwide pool and Main Base Kit (MBK) support. “This strategic agreement marks a first-of-its-kind in Thailand: the first 737-8 components deal for Vietjet Thailand reinforcing AFI KLM E&M’s footprint and leadership in the region,” the MRO said.
GE Aerospace and Silk Way West Airlines have sealed an extended services agreement to support the carrier’s growing fleet of wide-body Boeing aircraft. The contract is for five GEnx-2B-powered 747-8 Freighters, six GE90-115B-powered 777 Freighters and up to four GE9X-powered 777-8 Freighters.
MRO Japan and Airborne Capital Limited have entered into a Memorandum of Understanding to enhance MRO Japan’s end-of-lease offerings for selected clients in Japan and across Asia.
