Vietjet joins 737 MAX club after Seattle handover ceremony

Read More » The 737 MAX 8 is part of Vietjet’s Boeing order for 200 737 MAX family aircraft. "The first Boeing aircraft received under this historic order is the result of nearly a decade of partnership between Boeing and Vietjet," Vietjet chair, Dr. Nguyen Thi Phuong Thao, said. Boeing Commercial Airplanes CEO, Stephanie Pope, said: "On behalf of the Boeing team, we are honored to join Vietjet in celebrating the airline’s first Boeing airplane. The 737-8 will support the airline’s network growth, opening routes to Southeast Asia and reinforcing one of the region’s most dynamic new-generation airlines." Vietjet said the 737 MAX 8 is planned to operate on "high-demand regional routes".
