Airport Authority Hong Kong and the Hong Kong Customs and Excise Department have officially launched the air-land fresh lane initiative across the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge, which includes a temperature-controlled inspection facility at Zhuhai Port. The initiative streamlines clearance procedures for fresh products such as live seafood and fruits imported from overseas to customers in the Greater Bay Area via Hong Kong International Airport and the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge.

AAR Corp is acquiring components and assemblies distributor, American Distributors Holding Co., for US$146 million in an all-cash transaction.

Boeing has announced a firm order from Turkish Airlines for 35 787-9s and 15 787-10s, as well as options for a further 25 787 family aircraft. Turkish has also announced an intent to purchase up to 150 737 MAX family aircraft. The Star Alliance member is an existing 737 and 787 operator.

In other Boeing news, the airframer announced an order for 30 737 MAX 8 aircraft from Norwegian Group, which is a current operator of the type.

Lion Air Group maintenance, repair and overhaul services provider, Batam Aero Technic, has received a certificate of approval from the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam to perform heavy maintenance on A320 family and A330 family aircraft registered and operated in Vietnam.
