British Airways to operate triple daily London Heathrow-Delhi; flag carrier to start first class Heathrow-Mumbai

British Airways (BA) will add a third daily flight to Delhi from its London Heathrow hub in 2026. Additionally, BA will fly its latest business class seat on selected flights on all five of its U.K.-India schedules by December next year. BA CEO Sean Doyle announced the flag carrier’s network expansion during a U.K. government trade visit to India. The delegation was led by Britain’s prime minister, Sir Keir Starmer. "Our ties with India were established more than 100 years ago. Today we have around 2,500 British Airways colleagues based there," Doyle said. "We have been steadily increasing UK-India capacity over the years and now operate 56 direct services to five Indian cities each week. The Free Trade Agreement with India will boost economic momentum between our two countries. British Airways really sits at the centre of that activity acting as an enabler for increased trade." A confirmed date for the launch of the third daily route has not disclosed.
