Qatar Airways to open one-stop Doha-Canberra in December

Qatar Airways will start daily one stop Doha to Australia’s capital city on December 1 with the inaugural flight scheduled to touch down in Canberra on December 2. Virgin Australia (VA) will add its VA airline code on the route as part of the joint venture partnership between the two airlines. Qatar Airways ended its previous one-stop schedule to Canberra after the outbreak of the pandemic. Last year it flagged a return to the city albeit without announcing a launch date. Canberra will be Qatar Airways’ sixth destination in Australia alongside existing Doha to Adelaide, Brisbane, Melbourne, Perth and Sydney.
