Malaysia Airlines introduces A330-900 between Kuala Lumpur and Tokyo Narita

It began flying five times a week to Japan’s capital on October 8 replacing the A330-300 that had previously serviced the route. Flight tracking websites show the A330-900 is rostered for the MH88/89 rotation; an overnight flight from Kuala Lumpur and a day flight from Narita. "This service reflects our commitment to fleet modernization while reinforcing our dedication to the Japanese market," MAS said in a social media post. "It also marks a significant step forward in the Malaysia Airlines-Japan Airlines joint business, offering travellers greater comfort, efficiency, and seamless connectivity between Malaysia and Japan." Malaysia Airlines welcomed its seventh A330-900 to its fleet at the end of September. The aircraft, registration 9M-MNM, touched down at Kuala Lumpur International Airport after a ferry flight from Airbus in Toulouse on September 27. The aircraft entered commercial service on October 3.
