Air New Zealand has signed an agreement with My Native Forest to purchase 8,000 tonnes of carbon removals, a type of carbon credit, from 2028 to 2030. "Air New Zealand will provide capital in return for carbon removals that otherwise would have flowed offshore," My Native Forest co-founder, Mitchell McLaughlin, said. "Instead, it will be directed straight to local native forests."
CFM International said revolutionary innovation for sustainable engines (RISE) technology demonstration program’s work on high-pressure turbine airfoils has commenced dust ingestion testing.
The oneworld airline marketing alliance has held a summit on innovation in Lisbon. "There’s a wealth of expertise across our alliance, which makes us uniquely positioned to bring all parties together to share best practices and spark new ideas to help solve common challenges at scale," oneworld CEO, Nat Pieper, said.
Philippine Airlines is working with government agencies and other partners to support recovery efforts following last week’s earthquake in Cebu. The airline has uplifted about 20 tons of humanitarian cargo, including water containers, hygiene kits and psychosocial kits to the region, it said.
