JAL makes Bangkok regular part of cargo network

Japan Airlines (JAL) is switching its freighter operations to Bangkok from an ad-hoc to regularly scheduled service with fixed departure dates in response to strong cargo demand. Read More » The airline’s cargo arm, JAL Cargo, has scheduled one flight a fortnight from Tokyo Narita to Bangkok starting November 2 and running through to the end of March next year. "The Narita-Bangkok route, previously operated irregularly according to demand, will become a scheduled service with fixed departure dates to support sustained demand, particularly in the precision instruments and machinery sectors," JAL Cargo said. "JAL continues to support society’s evolving logistics needs by ensuring efficient and reliable transportation of essential goods such as pharmaceuticals, perishable foods, and chemicals." Bangkok is JAL Cargo’s second destination in South East Asia alongside existing service to Hanoi. JAL Cargo is also adding a fifth weekly service from Narita to Tianjin.
