China Southern Airlines net profit up by a fifth in third quarter

China Southern Airlines (CSA) reported net profit rose 20.3% to 3.8 billion yuan (US$541 million) in the three months to September 30 2025, from net profit of 3.2 billion yuan in the same three months in 2024. Read More » Operating revenue rose 3% to 51.4 billion yuan, CSA said in a regulatory filing. "The company has experienced continued improvement in its operational performance," CSA said. The company noted it has posted a net profit for the nine months to September 30 after deducting for non-recurring gains and losses, compared with a net loss for this measure in the prior corresponding period.
